This program designed to test the student’s skills through a written exam with the use of the DOT Emergency Response Guide so that they will receive IFSAC/Pro Board certification upon successful completion of the minimum requirements. All testing is based on current NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Awareness. Students should possess prerequisite knowledge of hazardous materials obtained though previous training and real-life experience.
Required Textbook(s): Jones & Bartlet Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations 2nd Edition
Required Equipment: Computer with audio/video capability and internet access
Cost: Free to all responders
DOH Con-ed Credits: 6 CPC
This course has been approved by the PA Dept of Health for 6 hours of continuing education credits for all ALS/BLS Providers.
Proboard Testing will be held on July 26th 2025 from 0900-1100.
