Haz-Mat Awareness and Operations

We are reaching out to inform you of important curriculum and course number updates that will take effect starting January 1, 2025. These changes are designed to enhance the consistency and clarity of our programs across the board. Please take the time to review these updates and make any necessary adjustments anything you are planning for 2025.
Key Updates:
- New Course Numbers: Revised course numbers have been assigned to align with updated curriculum. Please refer to the provided listing below for the specific numbers related to each of the courses.
- Curriculum Changes: Each course has received adjustments to ensure alignment with the Pa State Fire Academy programs.
Haz-Mat Awareness - 6 Hours
FSC 2114 – Haz-Mat Awareness
Haz-Mat Awareness Refresher - 2 Hours
FSC 1738 Haz-Mat Awareness Refresher
*Bucks will be using the State Fire Academy “A” version only
Haz-Mat Operations - 32 Hours
FSC 2472 Haz-Mat Operations
Haz-Mat Operations Refreshers - 4 Options- all are 6 hours in length
FSC 1737- Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher - Identify Potential Hazards & Containers (HMOR-24-A)
FSC 1736- Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher - ICS and WMD (HMOR-24-B)
FSC 1735- Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher - Initial Response and PPE (HMOR-24-C)
FSC 1734- Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher - Product Control and Emergency Decontamination (HMOR-24-D)
No changes to the other HazMat Level classes or testing numbers is planned.
