This course is designed to provide an overview of the Plans Review process for fire inspectors or plans examiners. The topics of discussion include: plans review; preparation of correspondence and plan review reports; communication with fire inspectors and emergency response personnel; handling of complaints; maintenance of records; participation in legal proceedings; identification of when additional expertise is required; local jurisdiction proceedings; and alternative methods.
