Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (PA-HART) will provide a highly specialized aerial search and rescue team and overall air asset for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the nation to respond to natural and manmade disasters as well as other incidents.

The Advanced School Resource Officer Course is a twenty-four (24) hour block of instruction designed for any law enforcement officer working in an educational environment. This course, following the SRO Triad model, advances the SRO’s knowledge and skills as a law enforcement officer, informal counselor, and educator.

The School Security Officer Course is for non-sworn safety and security officers working in schools with an SRO or solo. The course will emphasize three main areas of instruction: Functioning as a security officer in the school setting; Working effectively with students; and School Safety and Emergency Planning.  Attendees will gain a working knowledge of the School Security Officer concept, and how to establish a lasting partnership with their schools.  This course is designed specifically for school safety and security staff. 

This course is designed to provide firefighters with the knowledge and skill objectives to safely perform rescue techniques to remove trapped or lost firefighters during deteriorating suppression activities. This course is for firefighters who are members of a RIT, and tasked with extrication responsibilities during structure fires. Included in this course: RIT Team roles and responsibilities, evaluation of case studies, function during suppression activities, lifting and moving techniques, extrication support needs, team building skills, and size-up techniques and structure layout.

This course is designed for the fire fighter to apply and refine his/her knowledge of truck company operations. Topics include: vehicle placement, forcible entry, search and rescue, aerial operations, building construction, fire travel, and ventilation.

Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, Truck Company Operations I
