The Disaster Management for Electric Power Systems course provides students with information specific to preparing for, protecting against, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating against a threatened or actual natural disaster, an act of terrorism, or other man-made disaster affecting electric power facilities and systems.

The Disaster Management for Water and Wastewater Utilities course provides students with information about the Environmental Protection Agencies (EPA) Response Protocol Toolbox covering necessary steps to be taking during the response and recovery Water and Wastewater Utilities facilities. Participants will be guided through the various issues concerning preparing for, responding to, and recovering from incidents affecting water and/or wastewater facilities.

Fire Officer 1

Officer 1

Whitehall will be hosting a Fire Officer 1 class. The dates will be September 8,15 and 22nd in person and September 10,12,17 and 19th are online class. This class is a Bucks County course. Fire Police Advanced

This course provides instructional review of the laws pertaining to fire police powers and the expected duties of a fire police officer to include health and safety and legal aspects of performance. Fire Police Officers will also be taught how to deal with people, how to manage incident response and leadership qualities. Tabletop scenarios will be presented to reinforce the lessons introduced in regards to incident management and response.

Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, Basic Fire Police (BFPO)

This course provides instruction on the proper method to be appointed, the laws pertaining to fire police, fire police powers, and the expected duties of a new fire police officer.

Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System

Required Textbook(s): Somerset Cambria Fire Police Association, Basic Fire Police (will be provided to you)

Required Equipment: Job Related PPE

Emergency Boat and Rescue Operations (EBOR)

This 16-hour program involves skills of boat operation for rescue including boat selection, recommended equipment, boat handling, boat used rescue technique, and extrication from the water. This is a must-have course for any rescue unit involved with on-the-water operations. Emergency Boat Operations and Rescue course trains rescue personnel to select, outfit, operate, and rescue individuals utilizing boats as a rescue platform.
