COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is designed to strengthen the abilities of local jurisdictions to successfully prepare for and handle volunteer and donations management issues that may arise. The course content and activities may also serve as a template, thereby enhancing uniformity in addressing areas of donated unsolicited goods, unaffiliated volunteers, and undesignated cash.

Description: This course is suitable for both novice and veteran emergency vehicle operators. This course provides instruction for emergency personnel who may be involved in operating emergency vehicles. Topics included: defensive driving, emergency response, vehicle maintenance, and a driver training obstacle course. Students will be responsible for securing apparatus to drive.
The goal of this program is to provide the First Responder with the training needed to comply with NFPA 472 Chapter 5 Competencies for the First Responder at the Operational Level, and 29 CFR 1910.120 OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, (HAZWOPER), First Responder Operations Level. This program is designed to give the first responder the necessary skills to handle hazardous materials emergencies.
This program designed to test the student’s skills through a written exam with the use of the DOT Emergency Response Guide so that they will receive IFSAC/Pro Board certification upon successful completion of the minimum requirements. All testing is based on current NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Awareness. Students should possess prerequisite knowledge of hazardous materials obtained though previous training and real-life experience.

This session is open and available to Lehigh County First Responders Only. CPR is required prior to the start of class. We are offering CPR/First aid on July 17th from 1800-2200 for those that don't already have it. The full master schedule is attached to download. DESCRIPTION: The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) is sponsoring a two-day training course offered by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. It is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare providers. The course focuses on the fundamentals of radiobiology along with the medical care and management of patients involved with radiological and/or nuclear incidents.
